Jason Davis was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa and is a 1993 graduate of
Dubuque Senior High School.
After the attacks on 9/11 he enlisted in the Army and quickly distinguished himself through exceptionally meritorious achievements during eight years of service as a U.S. Army Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment, 2nd Ranger Battalion.
Deployed five times in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM, he led over 550 direct-action raids, targeting high-value terrorists across Mosul, Ramadi, Fallujah, and Baghdad. As a Ranger Rifle Squad Leader, Staff Sergeant Davis's leadership was instrumental in dismantling numerous Al-Qaeda cells.
As a Master Breacher, Staff Sergeant Davis played a pivotal role in developing the 75th Ranger Regiment's explosive breaching protocols, training future Rangers in critical operational skills as a part of the Ranger Assessment and Selection Program.
His dedication, professionalism, and leadership earned him the Bronze Star Medal and left a lasting impact on U.S. military operations.
Post military, Jason graduated summa cum laude from Clarke University in Dubuque. In June 2024 he participated in Dubuque Dances with the Stars, raising money for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dubuque and earning the Judges Choice Award. After years of working in the private sector, Jason has transitioned into a nonprofit role.
He is a frequent fixture in the Dubuque community. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Dubuque and was appointed to the Long Range Planning Advisory Commission for the City of Dubuque. Jason is currently working on his Master of Science NonProfit Administration with expected completion in December 2025. A lifetime resident of Dubuque, Jason is married to Kristin Bauer Davis and is the father of two school aged children.
