It's about taking action that moves our county forward.

For me, these aren’t just words.

They’re a reminder that every step forward starts with listening, being present, and putting people first.

Over and over, I’ve heard from people across Dubuque County — sharing their personal stories, their priorities, and their hopes for the future.

They talk about everyday things that matter:

Managing growth responsibly
Making sure county services work well
Having leaders who listen, show up, and follow through

Those conversations matter. And they’re the reason I’m running for Dubuque County Supervisor. I want to continue serving this community in a role where thoughtful planning, collaboration, and steady leadership truly make a difference.

How I Approach Leadership

That principle has guided me throughout my life — in the military, in nonprofit leadership, and right here at home in Dubuque County. I believe county leadership works best when it is:

Thoughtful and prepared
Focused on long-term outcomes
Connected to the people it serves

What I’m Focused On

As County Supervisor, my focus is on a few core areas that help Dubuque County move forward with confidence.

Thoughtful, Long-Term Planning: Good decisions don’t stop at today. They look ahead. I believe major investments should be evaluated carefully so we continue building a strong, sustainable future for Dubuque County.
Strong, Well-Coordinated County Operations: County services should work smoothly and make sense for the people who rely on them. That means improving coordination, modernizing where appropriate, and finding better ways to deliver services effectively. It also means exploring practical opportunities to improve how services are organized — including modernizing facilities and bringing services together where it improves access and efficiency.
Accessible, Community-First Leadership: This matters most to me. I will be accessible — in person — not to lecture, but to listen and learn. The best ideas come from the people who live and work here, and leadership works best when it stays connected at the community level.
